GAHP gas absorption heat pumps
(Natural Gas / LPG)

Founded in 1956, Robur is today a leading manufacturer whose mission is to offer energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions that operate on gas and can significantly reduce environmental impact. They achieve this mission through an ongoing, hands-on commitment to research, innovation, respect for people and respect for the environment.

Utilizing up to 40% of renewable energy (air, groud or water), Robur heating systems are the most profitable investment to increase the value of the building.

The heart and driving force behind the R&D effort is the Product Development center located in Zingonia near Bergamo, where Robur’s headquarters and factory production line are located. There, the company developed and implemented, over time, the total commitment to Quality that characterizes its policy and mission.

The company invests every year approximately 7% of its annual turnover in the R&D department.

The GAHP – Gas Absorption Heat Pump Technology combines the advantages of two technologies of the condensing boiler and the heat pump.

The 2 main advantages of the condensing boiler are the primary energy that comes from the use of natural gas or LPG to produce high temperature hot water for heating / DHW and also the small requirements for electricity.

The advantages with the heat pump are the use of renewable energy sources and the operation in cooling.

Without the disadvantages of condensing boilers such as the non-utilization of renewable energy sources and electric heat pumps which are the high demands on electricity and the use of refrigerants harmful to the environment.

Conclusion: gas absorption heat pumps do not use harmful refrigerants (use R717), have negligible electrical consumption (1/10) and can provide cold water for cooling in summer.

Designed to be Environmentally Friendly.

Robur GAHPs use refrigerant with GWP (Global Warming Potential) = 0 and are not subject to the F-Gas regulation

The operation of Robur gas absorption devices is based on the 1930 patent of Albert Einstein and Leo Szilard.

Today over < 500,000 GAHPs are installed worldwide
